MISSILE DEFENSE

OASYS has extensive missile defense experience, from pre-test planning to post-test analysis, providing systems engineering, sensor analysis, testing, modeling, simulation and other support to the Department of Defense and Missile Defense Agency.

Overview

We combine our significant knowledge of missile defense applications with our deep expertise in software and systems engineering to provide tangible value to the warfighter. OASYS provides expert-level systems engineering and sensor analysis capabilities specific to missile defense, ensuring successful deployment of sensor capabilities. You can learn more about our software engineering and systems engineering capabilities elsewhere on our website.

OASYS is experienced with a wide range of radar modeling, simulation and analysis, as well as work on ground systems, interceptors and signal analysis (signal processing and interoperability). We have deep subject matter expertise on ballistic missile defense systems (BMDS), including sensor field testing and analysis. Our team also has experience with analyzing the radar performance of BMDS versus hypersonic missile systems, as well as experience with long-range discrimination radar (LRDR) modeling.

Our missile defense capabilities consist of the following:

  • System integration
  • System evaluation
  • Testing & analysis
  • Modeling & simulation (including threat and RCS modeling/computations)
  • Independent verification & validation (IV&V)
  • Algorithm development & analysis
  • Decluttering
  • Electromagnetics
  • Sensor integration
  • Software assurance

OASYS supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Sensors Directorate with software IV&V, flight test & ground test analysis, and sensor model validation. These efforts provide our MDA customer with an in-depth understanding of sensor performance against BMDS system/sensor requirements and objectives.

Past Performance

OASYS has provided support for the following government clients:

  • AMC
  • DEVCOM/S3I
  • Missile Defense Agency (MDA)

OASYS is currently supporting the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) at U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command (CCDC), Software, Simulation, Systems Engineering and Integration (S3I). We provide support to MDA through the validation and verification of radar software including assessing performance against established acquisition, tracking and discrimination objectives. OASYS continues to provide MDA the capability to design scenarios to test requirements or specific capabilities, operate BMDS HWIL simulations, and analyze the subsequent results. We are utilizing a number of systems, including LRDR, AN/TPY-2, SBX, UEWR and Cobra Dane.
